The individual’s role will be to support fund raising and investor relations activities of the firm. Fund raising will be done both on an as-needed basis for certain investments and for new general funds such as next generation buyout funds. Regular activities will include preparing materials to present new investment opportunities to potential investors, creating contact lists and databases of new investors, contacting new investors by phone and/or in person, responding to both potential new investors’ and existing investors’ questions and requests for information, working with external advisors such as law firms and investments banks, etc. The position will touch and be involved in all aspects of private equity fund management including accounting, reporting, fund structuring, annual investor meetings, etc.

Ideal candidate will have at least two years work experience at a professional firm such as an investment bank, consulting firm or accounting firm. An understanding of financial statements (BS/PL/CSF) and the ability to explain them is critical. Bilingual (Japanese/English) -- ability to conduct meetings with investors in both languages. PowerPoint and Excel. Highly organized! Interest in private equity and financial markets. Outgoing, people-oriented, self starter, ability to prioritize, etc. Occasional travel.
