The Business Management Oversight & Control Department (BMOC)
Analysis of errors and issues to determine root causes, remediation actions and trends.
Develop and maintain the control policies and procedure documents.
Become involved in the New Business Initiative Approval process, helping the business with risk assessment of new initiatives.
Assist in providing control and risk related trainings to employees.
Coordinate with external auditors for the internal control effectiveness audit (e.g. SSAE16).
Become involved in the various global control related projects and initiatives including liaising with global project teams to perform business impact analysis. Support implementation of new procedures etc.
Take ownership of mini-projects.
Help improvement of the control framework of Third Party Oversight and Inter Affiliate Services Oversight.
Support investment and trading related risk monitoring tasks
Prepare control related reports and matrices to provide reporting for local/regional governance forums.
Involve in other ad-hoc control initiatives.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, a strong work ethic and ability to work as a team; and adhere to tight deadlines
Self-starter who is willing to take ownership and can prioritize and manage initiatives independently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English
Understanding of broad range of financial products is preferred
Some understanding of regulatory requirements for asset management company in particular or financial industry in general is preferred
Adapt to new systems and processes well and seeks out training to enhance knowledge, skills and abilities
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and Power Point)
Experience:
Minimum of 3~4 years of business experience in financial institutions
Have Operational Risk Management background is desired but not necessary
