Job/Group Overview:
Experienced and energetic hands-on senior developer is required to join Global Markets CVA technology team to support the CVA (Counterparty Valuation Adjustment) and FVA (Funding Valuation Adjustment) desks.

Apart from providing day-to-day support to the trading desk in APAC (Japan, AEJ), the team is expected to focus on delivering / enhancing current platforms with consolidated global counterparty risk management. Regulatory changes are also expected to be part of the driver for changes.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate would be expected to

・Provide day-to-day business requests and business support on existing applications to front office trading desks, including spreadsheet development
・Interact with the global development team and be expected, over time, to establish links with both end-users of the systems as well as other technical teams.
・Experience working with small development team, working within loose guidance but also under their own initiative, interacting directly with end users and being involved with all aspects of software development life cycle.
・Own, prepare and manage the application release process of CVA portfolio management platform

Requirement:

・Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent
・Knowledge of fixed income products, preferably in interest rates / credit derivatives
・5+ years of experience in developing large-scale multi-tier financial trading and pricing applications
・Solid experience in programming languages like C# or Java
・Strong design, object-oriented and core computer science skills
・Strong relational database skills. Proficient in Sybase or equivalent
・Experience with working with trading desk
・Experience with VBA development
・Experience in development work on global scale
・Able to learn and pick up new concepts and technologies and be able to apply to development and project
Preferred:

・Good communication skills
・Ability to multi-task and context switch
・Be able to work independently
・Proficiency in Japanese / English is plus
