Responsibilities:

As a Production Services Analyst/ Associate for the Global Market IT team the succeddful candidate would provide application and user support for all Cash and Fixed income Middle Office applications. They would be responsible interacting with technology teams both up an down the platform stack and to ensure a high quality of service to our users, dealing promptly and effectively with any issues that might arise.

Will be a part of Follow-The-Sun model but mainly to provide technical support for APAC and India Operations users.

The Production Services role requires constant daily interaction with the operations team.

Typical work would include:

- Handling user queries (often requiring in depth analysis of the technical and/or business logic of our systems)

- Management of incoming and outgoing feeds to clients and vendors

- Identification and management of problems and frequent issues with the aim of improving the supportability and stability of our platform (in conjunction with our development team)

- Batch and system management

Middle Office is the heart of a large web of systems in the Global Market, so a key part of the role will be working successfully with business and technology areas from across the bank.

The team are required to provide support from 7:45am to 7:30pm, which is covered through an early and a late shift of approximately 10 hours. The role requires the person to be available for both shifts, on a rota basis. Additionally, the team are required to be on call over some weekends, to carry out releases over weekends, and to provide cover on public holidays all on a rota basis.

- Willingness to learn front to back transaction flows as well as the core Middle Office platforms

Requirements (indicate any mandatory and/or preferred credentials):

Strong SQL (Sybase or UDB)
UNIX shell
Java
Bilingual (English, Japanese)
Experience with job scheduling tools (ideally Autosys)
TIBCO Middleware knowledge would be beneficial
FIX protocol would be a big plus.
