The Tokyo Position Services consists of two main functions - Equity Position Services and Fix Income Position Services. It is a part of Global Position Services within and supports Japanese clients, non-Japanese ones, and in house traders. The teams are responsible for dividends/proxy ballot/corporate actions/coupons/redemptions as well as projects for process improvements/ tighter controls/efficiencies.
The position to be filled is for the fixed income position services. However, exposure to equity is also expected

Team members are responsible on a day-to-day basis for:

Ensuring accuracy of coupon/redemption amounts/receipts/payments for both yen/non-yen fixed income
Ensuring redemption/coupon notification to be sent to clients
Submission of the regulatory reporting
Reconciliations/break resolutions
Managing projects for new businesses/efficiencies/legacy system eliminations with technologies/global counterparts

Skills Required:
A self-starter and highly motivated
Ability to adapt existing skills in a new environment
Ability to think laterally and pursue opportunities for system/process improvements
Ability to handle multi tasks
Understanding of operational controls
Understanding of timely escalations
Excellent communication skills(ability to have a global call in English)
Attention to details

Skills Desired:
Understanding of fixed income as products (yen/non-yen)
Asset servicing background (both fixed income/equity)
Other operations background preferred i.e. as settlements etc
Willingness to learn/try new challenges
Detail oriented mindset
JSDA class 1 and 2 (internal control manager preferred)
