The position is open for Australia as well as for Japan.

Perform periodic loan reviews of assets of this company to ensure risk classification integrity, adherence to collateral valuation procedures, portfolio quality, and completeness of loan documentation, credit policy adequacy and adherence. Provide management reports highlighting the overall credit quality of the portfolio.

Continually innovate and develop loan review processes to produce effective coverage and proactive metrics to detect issues.
Conduct audit reviews to assess quality of credit decisions; effectiveness of account monitoring, portfolio management, problem loan identification; and evaluate compliance with lending policies to validate integrity of risk classification assessments.
Track and communicate open audit items to ensure timely closure.
Effectively identify and communicate best practices for process improvement.
Develop methodologies to incorporate regulatory or other changes impacting policy requirements.

Minimum Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of Commercial Risk Management/Loan Review experience.
4+ years experience (most recent) in cash flow underwriting to demonstrate a solid grasp of secured lending underwriting practices, legal contract documentation and title perfection for these deals.
4+ years being in Credit Risk (underwriting, portfolio management, collections) or Loan Review of a commercial portfolio in a Bank.
Knowledge of loan classification policy and practice.

Verbal and written Japanese language capabilities for position based in Tokyo.

MBA in Finance or related field.
Knowledge of corporate finance, commercial lending practices, and problem credit remediation.
Knowledge of consumer finance risk and products a pus
Knowledge of financial regulations would be an advantage
Regulatory, compliance or audit experience would also be relevant where this includes exposure to credit risk.
Experience managing across business functional teams in a global matrix management setting.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to effectively present to Senior Management
CAS/FMP experience a plus
Asian language skills a plus for Australia position
