*** Mission ***
By identifying and maximizing business opportunities to contribute to the revenue growth by expanding acceptance in Japan through the efforts of developing strategic relationship with acquirers and merchants, and joint efforts with related teams, such as customer relations, marketing, in Japan, seeking the support and guidance from the regional development team.
*** Responsibilities ***
1) Accountable for achieving the regional and divisional objectives for acceptance development, being responsible for any opportunity and issue with respect to key acquirers, merchants and strategic business partners.
2) Contributing to increase of company’s profit by promoting the usage of company’s card
3) Accountable for planning, developing and implementing business plan to expand own brand’s acceptance in Japan
4) Expand cross-border transactions for both outbound and inbound with the following primary focuses;
-Increase of cross-border spendings by Japanese tourists using company’s brand in the travel and entertainment fields;
-Joint efforts with China team to induce more spendings of Chinese tourists using own brand in Japan;
-Development of more Certification Practice Statement and cross-border opportunities, introducing the e-commerce payment solutions to the international merchants.
-Expansion of cross-border e-commerce transactions for both outbound and inbound, including ATM transactions.
5) Develop more business by opening up such underdeveloped market as rent payment, life insurance, tuition payment and so forth.
6) Responsible for developing and maintaining strategically firm relationship with the acquirers and major merchants
7) Responsible for identifying and developing business opportunities in non-traditional categories such as telecommunications, e-commerce merchants and retailers. Moreover,
8) Expand company’s brand exposure in the merchant locations in order to increase cardholders’ loyalty to company brand
9) Provide useful information and consultative support to the acquires, gaining their good confidence for acceptance development,
10) Report in a timely manner the status and issues of acceptance business in Japan to the regional head team seeking their support and guidance.
11) Accountable for economic efficiency of promotions and campaigns executed
12) Drive penetration of new acceptance solution platform, especially on e-commerce
13) Develop and assess the interchange strategies, working with the strategy team, being a liaison with the acquirers.
14) Be mindful of the move of competitors and main merchants for timely reporting to the supervisor.

Minimum 10 years of acceptance development (merchant sales) experience in the credit card industry
