仕事内容 ●SUMMARY
Corporate Finance is seeking an Assistant Manager / Manager level professional, to be based in Tokyo focussed on supporting the Japan Corporate Finance team and the regional Corporate Finance team in the origination and execution of corporate finance activities in Japan. Corporate finance activities include:
・Indirect capital services (e.g., fund raising, buy-side advisory, secondary unit brokerage)
・JV deal sourcing / introducing of partners / structuring
・Debt advisory / arrangement / sales, and
・Real estate M&A due diligence and execution

Ideal candidate will have:
・strong financial and analytical skills including financial modelling experience
・intimate knowledge of Japanese investors / real estate / capital markets
・understanding of key terms / strategies of RE funds
・experience introducing overseas RE funds and JV transactions

Ideal candidate needs to be highly self-motivated and have the ability to work on assignments from the early advisory stages through to execution, utilising the resources of the company along the way and be a very strong team player.

●KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
・Help execute Corporate Finance mandates (50%) - Help the team execute such mandates as fundraising, separate account / joint venture structuring, and debt related projects.
・Distribute offshore hard asset deals in Japan (30%) - As a side project (i.e. non-Corporate Finance business), introduce offshore hard asset deals to Japanese developers and other investors who are increasingly interested in geographically diversifying their portfolios.
・Manage key accounts and develop new relationships (20%) Management of existing and prospective client relationships across Asia Pacific related to cross-border finance services relating to Japan. Maintain a positive profile in the community and introduce new client relationships to the team and wider The Company group. Key clients and relationships to be under the control of the candidate to be determined.

●GENERAL
・Candidate may be required to travel during the course of business for business development and project specific purposes. Travel will likely be domestic travel or short haul regional travel.
・The Corporate Finance team is measured largely on its stand alone financial performance, together with its contribution (direct or indirect) to the wider The Company regional offices. It is envisaged that the candidate will be similarly measured against financial contribution to the The Company team in the medium to longer term.
必要スキル ●Degree or diploma in business, banking, property finance or relevant fields
●MBA (desirable)
●CFA is a bonus
●Experience / knowledge in real estate, especially in real estate finance, real estate fund management, and / or real estate investment (ideally 5+ years)
●Strong English and Japanese written and oral communication skills
●Innovative and enjoy working in “start-up” environment
