Reporting to the Head of Data Production in Singapore, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely maintenance of corporate action market events for both listed and non-listed financial instruments for the Japan and Korea markets.
Key tasks include (but not limited to)
- Analysis and support of corporate action data related to events such as rights and bonus issues, dividend declarations, share consolidations, share splits, initial
public offerings, share buybacks, mergers and acquisitions
- Support and maintain the lifecycle of instruments such as bonds, funds, indices, warrants, derivatives and structured products for the Japanese and Korean markets
- Respond to data queries from both internal and external clients
- Liaising with third party data vendors on data quality issues

Candidates must be able to speak, read and understand Japanese and Korean financial documents as well as fluency in English.
Additionally, you will have excellent verbal and written business communications skills and hold an undergraduate degree in any discipline. You will be of an analytical and conceptual mindset and have a broad knowledge of a range of asset classes as well as an understanding of the value chain of financial information. Previous experience and track record as a data trouble shooter or as an experienced data editor is desirable.
The successful applicant will have significant experience in handling multiple tasks in parallel whilst retaining an overall view of the process (value chain). He or she will possess an excellent end-to-end data flow knowledge and the ability to understand internal databases (eg. MDE, ITSM9). You must be customer focused, a self-starter who can work independently and yet be equally comfortable working within a team.
