Job Purpose

Senior Manager Business Finance and Analysis functions as a financial business partner with business leaders and is responsible for strategic financial analysis in all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting to support the business leaders effectively managing and controlling short-/long-term financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:
・Lead, direct, and control the financial resources to maintain the short and long-term financial health of the business.
・Direct Business Unit/Division`s financial functions so that financial transactions, policies, and procedures meet the short and long-term business objectives and are conducted in accordance with regulations, accounting principles, and standards.
・Design and operate the budget, forecast and mid-term plan.
・Overall management of detailed product costing and understanding all cost components.
・Develop and manage the planning and forecasting process for cost and provide product cost input for annual plan and budget updates.
・Manage the planning and forecasting process for capital expenditure.
・Provide analysis and commentary of monthly actual results and variances to plan.
・Conduct inventory reporting and manage the inventory devaluation/disposal process.
・Lead financial models in terms of profitability and return on investment.
・Providing other analyses / reports on product costing as required.
・Collaborate with and provide input and feedback into the assigned projects as needed.

Qualifications:

・Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a business-related field.
・MBA, MiF and/or CPA a plus.
・Minimum 5+ years’ experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and reporting duties.
・Ability to serve as a strategic thought partner contributing meaningful improvements to the business’ financial performance and/or business processes.
・Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to identify potential and/or existing issues, evaluate available options and recommend corrective actions.
・Capable of developing strong leadership and influencing skills to drive projects for business finance improvement.
・Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-national organization.
・Possess the ability to translate, consolidate, and prepare financial statements, budgets and forecasts.
・Possess strong interpersonal (written and verbal) communication skills, as well as excellent presentation skills and strong attention to detail.
・3+ years’ experience in people management or equivalent interpersonal skills.
・Fluent in written and spoken Japanese and English.
