This position will be responsible for managing regular accounting/controllership activities. He/she is responsible for ensuring all entries, reconciliations and other activities conducted within his/her team are in compliance with JGAAP, applicable Company policies.

Responsibilities
-Manage month end close and preparation of financial statements
-Ensure proper and timely entering and recording of financial transactions in the general ledger in Company policies and JGAAP
-Develop and enforce proper accounting processes and procedures for practice within the finance team and company
-Ensure accuracy of the company’s accounts by developing and maintaining reconciliation schedules, month end closing binder, finance metrics and researching variances
-Supporting internal/external audits, including ensuring timely and thorough responses to audit requests, acting as a liaison between the department and the audit teams and ensuring any deficiencies noted are corrected in a timely manner.

●BA/BS degree in accounting, finance, or related subjects
●Minimum four to seven years finance/accounting experience including external audit (i.e. public accounting) and/or financial reporting experience
●Proficiency with MS office and familiarity with Concour and SPA would be a plus.
●Candidate must be highly organized, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
●Good command of English and Japanese (reading/writing/speaking)
●Able to work comfortably under pressure and meet tight deadlines
