As a Capabilities and Insights Analyst or Junior Capabilities and Insights Analyst with Japan Geographic Research, you will

● Identify and gather relevant company, industry, and economic information using a broad spectrum of sources

● Provide synthesis, insights, and implications via end formats in the form of exhibits, written summaries, basic fact packs, and spreadsheets

● Serve as a thought partner to the consulting team, and get involved in team problem solving

● Provide consultants and other knowledge professionals with the guidance on how to effectively use databases maintained by the Japan Geographic Research team

● Bachelor’s or master’s degree from a premier institution with at least two years’ work experience. Some examples of possible prior work would be

securities analyst or industry research analyst at a bank

researcher at a think tank, market research company, or consulting firm

employee at other research-related function in business

● Sound understanding of business, basic finance, and Japan’s economy

● Excellent written and oral English communication skills and native Japanese language skills

● Proficiency with online database searches and MS Office applications

● Superior problem solving and analytical skills

● Ability to work proactively and independently as well as in a team

● Willingness to work on wide variety of research topics in a highly demanding and results-oriented team environment
