Project overview
One of the key challenges that our Japanese companies face is globalization, i.e., standardizing enterprise architecture globally. There are not so many Japanese companies that attempt to transform themselves to a global company and there are not so many opportunities of working on globalization, however in this SAP project for our major Japanese pharmaceutical client, as they are now shifting to a global company, you will be able to work on such globalization opportunity. If you fulfill your responsibility successfully and make this great transformation happen, you will get quite meaningful experience and bilingual coordination capabilities that majorities of the other Japanese clients show their interests for their globalization.
Assumption
Development will be done by both local development tam and Offshore development team
Local development team is in charge of Japan specific complicated RICEFW objects.
Offshore development team is responsible for all the remaining objects; majority of the RICEFW objects
Role
Responsible for RICEFW design/development management with the key technologies; ABAP + Netweaver PI (XI) integration. Manage 2 teams as follow.
Local development team in charge of Japan specific complicated RICEFW objects.
Bilingual consultant team in charge of bridge between Japan functional team and offshore development team.
Make sure standards/strategy for technical design, development and testing are ready and all the members understand them
Estimate the required resources based on the technical complexity and secure the resources.
Plan, monitor and review scope, schedule/progress, quality and communication
Manage and resolve issues and risks
Make sure all the design and objects meet the AQL agreed upon in advance.
Manage human resources/working hours to avoid them getting stuck by overload.
Manage priorities for functional/technical design, development and testing + coordinate with Offshore development manager for offshore development.
Mentor/coach ABAP or XI (PI) consultants.
Estimate local developments as per the standard estimate methodology. Also, review Offshore development estimate.
Make sure that all the deliverables are in line with the standards (ISO9001/GxP/STAR etc) and available in the directory predefined.
To clarify questions from the client team and from development team in a timely manner.
To support the client team and the development team in testing and training.
To make a daily communication, weekly and monthly reports to client team and offshore development lead.

1. Bilingual skill (Native Japanese, Business level English)
2. Team management skill
3. Functional, technical design + ABAP development experience in a wide range of modules
4. Large interface design/development experience with EAI
5. 7+ year experiences in SAP project management
6. Documentation skill, Communication skill, Good Interpersonal skill and flexibility
7. Physical, mental toughness
Nice to have requirements
1. Netweaver XI(PI) Integration experience
2. Experienced in Global SAP roll-in/out projects in manufacturing companies. Experience in pharmaceutical sector is preferable.
3. Logical thinking
4. Presentation skill
5. Pharmaceutical project experience
