Job Summary
As a member of Procurement, the incumbent will undertake procurement initiatives, including research for procurement opportunities, facilitating communication of procurement between the department and vendors, control procurement process, monitoring of vendor performance and contract breaches.
General Accountability:
Coordinate cross-functional teams for sourcing events based on the thresholds set in the local procurement policy.
Ensure vendors are pre-qualified and complete confidentiality agreements, as required by current policy.
Develop vendor analyses, using our company standard tools, to present potential vendors to the cross-functional sourcing team.
Coordinate the RFx process by developing the RFx from our company standard templates and distributing the RFx according to policies and procedures. Collect data and information necessary to define our company’s requirements for the RFx.
Respond to, escalate, track and analyze vendor inquiries with regards to the RFx.
Engage and coordinate functional subject matter experts, such as legal, tax, risk management, etc., in support of procurement initiatives.
Develop RFx summaries and vendor evaluation matrices, using our company standard templates, for the cross-functional sourcing team to evaluate vendor responses.
Document results from the sourcing activities
Deliver target savings and repot the results based on the developed savings methodology
Develop the necessary analyses to support the various category management activities

Knowledge / Education:
Required
3+ years of progressive experience in procurement and/or contract writer.
Undergraduate degree (business, finance, accounting or legal studies preferred)
Solid knowledge of procurement and contract best practices, processes and tools
Solid PC skills
Good command of English written or/and spoken
Strong assets
Experience in contract management and/or vendor management roles
Graduate degree (business, finance, accounting or law preferred)
Familiar with our company’s business operations, strategies and financial environment

Technical and professional knowledge demonstrated understanding of key commercial risks in procurement; knowledgeable of and can apply procurement and contract best practices; effectively searches and uses industry and market insights
