【Responsibilities】
- Lead the originating and also assist managing the entire project development from site
selection to commercial operation of the power plant
- Creating, closing and managing or assisting relevant contractual agreements for project
development either directly or with external service providers: Land lease, land lease
option or land purchase agreements, special purpose vehicle incorporation, shareholder
contracts and structure definition, grid connection contracts, PPA’s, etc.
- Proposing and assist in managing external service providers for legal, tax, electrical grid,
environmental impact assessments, land agents and other third party consultants or
advisors needed for project development and Due Diligence creation
- Assist Project Development strategy for each region with budget including a service
provider and partner network as well as a freelancer network to secure sites, PPA, permits,
licenses and project rights
- Work with local authorities to obtain planning permits, licenses and clearances as well as
other necessary documentations
- Creation and editing of project expos ’s, investment memo’s or investment proposals or
decision templates for the management
- Develop and maintain necessary personal networks to stakeholders at different levels that
effect the successful development of projects such as public authorities on local, regional
and national level as well as environmental groups, industry associations, grid operators or
service providers
- Work with local authorities to obtain planning permits, licenses and clearances as well as
other necessary documentations

【Candidate Profile】
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related field from an accredited college or university
- ~5 years of work experience with Power sector.
- Strong commercial mindset
- Good understanding of the renewable energy business
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software

【Preferred】
- Exposure to the energy industry, either via academics or a professional role
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing time demands
- Strong analytical skills & meticulous attention to detail
- Has knowledge on financial modeling or/and Real Estate development experience
- Coursework/experience in land development and policy/ energy policy and/or technology
- Understanding of utility regulatory environment
- Strong knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS and Google Earth software preferred
- Proficiency in Japanese language. English/other languages will be good but not mandatory
