●Key responsibilities:
Attend client meetings as the technical expert on fixed income related topics in order to help drive investor flows.
Identify unique investment opportunities that present themselves based on a deep knowledge and expertise.
Sponsor all product development initiatives and act as the key interface into our Investment Management & Client Coverage Divisions (CCD).
Be the principal centre of competence and content provision for all product specific client requests.
Provide input into relevant client pitches, roadshows, conferences and media engagements.
Provide timely thought leadership, product news, updates, storylines and materials.
Develop new product concepts based on product strategy and ensure product design and structuring quality.
Be responsible for individual product business plans and economics and spearhead all internal requirements and approvals.
Own the end-to-end design of investment solutions: beginning with refining a concept and continuing through structuring and implementation.
Be the subject matter expert on fund structures and wrappers and incorporate investor impact and KPIs in decision making.
Contributing to the development of junior members by sharing insights, experiences and mindset, and leading by example.
Effective usage of resoruces in the team to deliver strategies and solutions.

Expertise in Fixed Income strategies: sovereign, corporate, EM bonds, other instruments and derivatives.
Expertise in other strategies: multi asset, quantitative soultions, ESG etc (not mandatory but a plus).
Expertise in investment vehicles: separate accounts, Japanese investment trust funds, Cayman/Luxemburg funds, ETFs.
Experience of portfolio management, investment solutions, insurance solutions (not mandatory but strongly preferred).
Educated to University degree level.
Native level Japanese and Fluent English.
Good communication and influencing skills.
Sales motivated, personable and able to develop & maintain relationships.
Good at creating presentation materials and client presentations.
