<Role Overview>
The individual is responsible for developing an approved local Japan strategy, offering excellent leadership across the different local teams and being our company’s local ambassador in Japan.

<Role Responsibilities>
oResponsible for developing and implementing a local regulatory and commercial strategy to grow our Group’s business in Japan.
oEffectively engage with Japanese stakeholders including governmental, regulatory, industry and media representatives.
oEffectively communicate environment and activities to internal executive stakeholders.
oChampion a Matrix Management environment which includes:
-Offering leadership skills to dotted line reports
-Ensure a joined up approach across the different teams within the Japan strategy
-Regular engagement with managers in our UK Head Office and APAC Offices to encourage best practice to be shared/implemented
-Be aware, and feed into, the key objectives of all in your office
-Enable all in your office and strategy to meet their objectives
oDrive continuous improvement in performance, processes and local initiatives.
oProvide leadership to ensure that the mission, ethical values and core guiding principles of our company are put into practice.

<Experience>
oPrevious experience in an executive management role
oDemonstrate a deep knowledge and understanding of local market dynamics
oKnowledge and experience in creating a local regulatory engagement strategy
oExcellent commercial knowledge and experience in driving a core commercial strategy
oDemonstrate experience in communicating to internal executive stakeholders
oIn depth knowledge of financial trading products

<Qualifications>
oEssential Graduate Degree
oDesirable MBA or equivalent post graduate qualification
