The Japan CTS Transaction Services IT group is a part of global team that provides Technology solutions to middle and back-office processing of securites and derivatives products for the firm. Its functional domain includes trade processing, settlement and payments, regulatory reporting, collateral management and external connectivity to Swift and other market infrastructure. Our mission is to enable business growth by providing scalable and stable solutions to one of the firm’s most critical function areas leveraging best-in-class Technology.

The firm is currently undergoing a major IT Transformation initiative, transforming developer experience and productivity to next level by adoption of Cloud platform and SDLC toolsets. In addition, our suite of applications require continuous effort for uplift and re-engineering in order to keep pace with fast changing demands of market environment and our clients.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative individual to join us as a DevOps / Software engineer, who can advance our transformation journey while also driving and contributing to various projects that deliver Technology solutions to support business growth and client needs.

Being part of a global application team, he/she will work collaboratively with global team members, Japan business users and other IT team members for all phases of application development and support, and contributes to identifying of business needs and delivering of solution.

The role provides a unique opportunity to become a subject matter expert in the technical and functional domain of middle and back office processing systems, to work on hands-on development of business application software, adopting and leveraging various DevOps toolsets.

●Responsibilities:
・Deliver, as part of a local development team, on technical analysis, system design and development of global and local application software.
・Working with business analyst and users, identify business requirements and contribute to deciding priorities.
・Produce functional & technical documents according to business requirements, including application design.
・Provide 3rd level support assistance to the Production Support team, to enable effective and timely support of the production environment.

●Mandatory
・Strong interpersonal communication skills.
・Strong system design and development skills.
・Knowledge and working experience in Linux, Sybase / RDBMS, MQ, JAVA.
・Experience or understanding of SCC (source code management - like Git / SVN)
・Experience or understanding of in CI/CD and DevOps
・Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience working in finance or IT industry.
・Must be a team player, flexible to work on and support multiple applications, have passion for improvement/innovation and willingness to learn and implement new technologies.
・Good communication skills using English to interact with global counterparts.

●Preferred
・Japanese and English bilingual.
・Work experience or understanding on Spring, Hibernate frameworks
・Work experience or understanding of Container technologies (Docker, Kubernates)
・Experience of Global system development and support
・Business knowledges of wholesale middle/back office flow of a security brokerage.
