We are looking for a candidate who is interested in working in a global environment for expanding his or her knowledge in insurance industry. We are heavily interested in continuous improvement and continuous proactive monitoring to reduce incidents.

●Job Purpose
The Tools for Operations Team is accountable for the management of web applications monitoring including the management of tools, monitoring instrumentation, setup of monitoring processes including escalation flows, and providing state of the art monitoring into our operations. Our mission is to accelerate our approach to application performance management with better tooling, integration, and processes to reach higher level of maturity in our operations. Our Mission is to revolutionize the way we approach monitoring by switching from reactive to proactive monitoring with proper tracking of metrics, events and logs, and the introduction of business intelligence analytics to achieve a holistic management approach to our applications performance. Our mission is to support QoS for all environments: CoreIT, Private IaaS, and Open PaaS.

●Key Accountabilities
Development and Management of Application Monitoring
・ Maintenance of our Business Application monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Jenkins/Selenium, Splunk, etc)
・ Development and enhancement of monitoring
・ Instrumentation of Monitoring tools for application monitoring & Integration with Incident Management Processes
・ Management and execution of monitoring processes
・ Development of visualization, analysis and escalation of monitoring alerts
・ Build Operational Intelligence around monitoring in the form of real time automated dashboards
・ Automation of the Monitoring Processes
・ Reduce and avoid unnecessary false alert
・ Consolidate and simplify tools and/or monitoring processes for all three entities

Monitoring Tracking and Documentation
・ Documentation of monitoring processes.
・ Tracking/Inventory of monitoring coverage across tools and applications.
・ Evaluation of the quality and level of coverage of monitoring to identify opportunities.

Monitoring Center of Excellence
・ Work with tribes, squads, and operations to satisfy their monitoring needs.
・ Act as CoE on monitoring and provide advice / propose solutions to monitoring requests.
・ Conduct internal workshops on the utilization of the tools to users in IT.
・ Keep abreast of new monitoring tools and techniques we can introduce into our operations
・ Liaise with Regional and Global Monitoring support teams to achieve synergies

●Requirements (1): Technical skills, Job experiences
【Must have】
・ Solid understanding of large-scale web-based systems, network architectures, monitoring and fault management.
・ Development experience in programming languages (e.g. Python, Javascript, Java, .net, c, etc) desirable
・ Experience using application monitoring and data analysis tools desirable (Ex: Dynatrace, Splunk)

・ Minimum 2+ yrs experience working in IT related technical areas
・ Specialized training or work experience in web-based system development or system monitoring
・ Experience working in the insurance or financial sector desirable

College degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent work experience

Japanese language fluency (N3 or above) / Native or advanced English communication fluency required.
