The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for researching, developing, and maintaining software solutions and products related to security and surveillance in an enterprise video management system.

【Duties/Responsibilities:】
・Receive direction from designated manager and perform software development activities in accordance with defined processes.
・Adhere to and encourage industry-recognized best practices as they pertain to software development and Agile processes.
・Collaborate with other engineers to design and implement product improvements.
・Produce well-organized, optimized, and documented source code in a timely manner.
・Provide efficient, innovative solutions to complex software problems.
・Provide excellent technical design documentation.
・Work independently when required.
・Maintain and learn new technical skills through self-study and company-sponsored training.
・Attention to detail is essential and all tasks must be carried out to highest standards.
・Attend Agile ceremonies and lead software development meetings as needed.
・Collaborate in a team environment by providing expertise, guidance, and feedback to peers in one or more software related technologies or disciplines.
・Demonstrate expertise and adherence to the software development process.
・Create documentation and supporting artifacts of software features for development teams.
・Work with QA, Technical Support, and others to resolve customer related issues and software defects.
・The Sr. Software Engineer is a non-supervisory position.

【Required Skills/Abilities】
・Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
・Minimum of seven years of experience in a software development role.
・Demonstrated expertise in C# and/or VB.net programming languages in a Windows environment.
・Expertise with .Net and Microsoft Visual Studio and SQL server.
・Proficiency with web development technologies such as HTML, Javascript, REST, JSON, XML, etc.
・Experience participating in all phases of the software development life cycle including requirements, design, coding, and testing.
・Excellent debugging and problem solving skills.
・Understanding of relational databases and proficiency in SQL desired.
・Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
・Understanding of IPv4 addressing and be able to assemble basic networks
・Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond well to changing priorities.
・Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
・Proficiency in Java, Objective C, and/or Swift for mobile development desired.
Physical Requirements:
・Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
・Ability to manipulate personal computer equipment including cases, cameras, and various small peripherals.
