＜Mission＞
As Head of Supplier Quality & Development Japan you secure the quality of the suppliers under your responsibility and develop their performance from a QDCF-TSR stand point (Quality Delivery Cost Features - Technology Sustainability Risk). You lead a team of Supplier Quality and Development Engineers in close collaboration with Buyers, Design Engineers, Plant Quality and Field Quality Managers.

＜Main Responsibilities＞
・Actively contribute to the development of the department
・Drive and lead the Supplier Quality Assurance activities in accordance with defined strategies and targets
・Ensure close interaction with suppliers, and develop and work with the team to ensure common strategy is driven and communicated to the suppliers
・Ensure the best supplier selection in strong collaboration with Buyers and Technology & Supplier Evaluation team
・Manage the fulfillment of APQP & PPAP for projects and product maintenance
・Actively support process harmonization and best practice sharing within Group Trucks Purchasing SQ&D
・Co-owns SQA Knowledge, and actively lead knowledge sharing within geographic scope
・Secure quality KPI fulfillment
・Drive department activities towards wanted position
・Secure that the quality requirements are transferred to the others department through the quality plans
・Secure needed communication with cross functional teams
・Develop suppliers according to QDCF-TSR ambitions
・Secure supplier involvement in project activities
・Manage the development of staff
・Secure and Manage resources within his/her area
・Work in accordance with our processes, the Code of Conduct and our Values

＜Competence & Experience＞
・University degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent
・Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, quality, manufacturing or product development preferably from the automotive industry
・Knowledgeable of Japan Market/Supplier-base
・Able to execute in a multi-cultural organization
・Excellent communication skills ; Japanese and English mandatory
・Strong people management and leadership skills
・Able to manage diversity and offer opportunities for personal/professional development
・Able to build an effective team with a common objective and strong morale and spirit
・Strong customer focus and business mindset
・Foster preventive activities and can also face problems and act quickly and directly under pressure and at high pace
・Provide direct & actionable feedback
・Make good decisions in collaboration with internal stakeholders, with risks and opportunities and alternative solutions in mind
・Potential to grow to higher positions

＜Authorities＞
・Ensure within the framework of the Purchasing manual, the mandate to fulfill the above described responsibilities
・Stop purchase of material not conforming to quality demands
・Make recommendation for approval or refusal of the sourcing cases presented in relevant Sourcing Committees
