仕事内容

●Responsibilities
・Promote a culture of risk awareness across all levels of the organization.
・Provide oversight of risk management policies, processes and systems to facilitate the Company’s operation within our Financial Corporation’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework and all global risk policies as applicable, covering strategic, market, credit, liquidity, insurance and operational risks.
・Collaborate with other functional teams to identify, measure, control and report on the Company’s risk exposures, ensuring risks are managed within the Company’s risk appetite and risk limits.
・Facilitate the setting of the Company’s risk appetite in conjunction with the Asia Segment CRO, and ensure alignment of risk appetite with the overall strategic plan.
・Provide thought leadership on evolving risks facing the Company and the Asia Segment, and risk mitigation strategies.
・Establish and maintain a risk reporting framework that allows the CRO to offer objective reporting to the Asia Segment CRO and Asia Risk Committee.
・Escalate to the Asia Segment CRO and Asia Risk Committee any limit breaches, as soon as possible following identification, including management’s risk response plan.
・Escalate to the Asia Segment CRO and Asia Risk Committee in a timely manner any material change in the Company’s risk exposure.
・Review key business decisions and provide an approval or concurrence from an independent risk perspective, as specified by certain policies and standards.
・Report to the Company’s Board Risk Committee and Asia Risk Committee on items described within this mandate, ensuring that they are appropriately: i) informed of the Company’s material risk positions and risk mitigation programs; ii) informed of the level of compliance with risk policies, risk appetite and limits, and iii) provided an assessment on the effectiveness of the Company’s risk management practices.
・Ensure that our Enterprise Risk Management Framework is effectively implemented, and satisfy local board and regulatory requirements around risk governance.
・Influence emerging local regulatory and industry risk framework changes

必要スキル

・Minimum of Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance or Actuarial Science, etc.
・A recognized certifications in Accounting, Finance, or Actuarial
・15+ years of risk management experience in matters of increasing complexity
・Highly developed financial acumen and business orientation
・In depth understanding of products developed and marketed in Japan, and good working knowledge of capital market instruments and risk mitigation/hedging techniques
・Understanding in product development and pricing, with in depth knowledge of pricing techniques and approaches, product risk assessment techniques and experience study analysis techniques
・Solid working knowledge of enterprise risk management frameworks and processes including ALM
・Proven leadership skills, along with strong process and project management capabilities and experience
・Strong communication skills, including ability to translate complex technical issues into fundamental concepts
・Highly effective influencing skills
・Strong relationship building skills to build effective working relationships with Asia Segment and Global leaders
・High level of conceptual skills and an ability to operate strategically to minimize risks and leverage opportunities, but with an ability and willingness to drill down into detail, with high level of attention as needed
・Creative problem solving and the ability to motivate others to implement new solutions
・Microsoft Office is required
・Good English (written and oral)
