This position sits within the Tokyo Prime Services PC team. The role is the daily reporting, processing and reconciliation of the P&L for the Prime Services business. It will require a large amount of interaction with Asian and Global counterparts in Finance, Front Office, Operations and Technology.
The ongoing investment in the new　**** requires staff that can drive forward the necessary evolution of the control function through innovation and participation in Global Strategic initiatives. Candidates will be asked to demonstrate drive and enthusiasm for acting as a change, contributing to the increasingly international corporate culture.

Responsibilities:
・Preparation and analysis of trading P&L on a daily basis for the Equity Finance, Index Arbitrage & ETFs business.
・Reconciliation of daily and monthly P&L between front end systems and the financial ledger.
・Month end close including calculation and reconciliation of accruals, journals for general ledger and performing balance sheet account verification.
・Key Product Control contact for new products and associated reporting / sign off.
・Involvement in project and re-engineering initiatives to improve the processes with other counterparties across different divisions and regions.
・*** is in the process of globalizing both front and back office processes and the successful candidate will be expected to be actively involved in the user acceptance testing of new systems as they go live.

・Native Japanese language skills
・Fluency in English
・Qualified Accountant (preferable)
・Prior Product Control experience
・Knowledge of accounting principles and their practical application in financial markets
・An understanding of control & operational risks inherent in an Investment Banking environment
・Results focused within a pressurized environment with tight deadlines
