- Developing the operational risk strategy and governance framework
- Establishing a set of operational risk products and services to support the business areas’ management of operational risk
- Developing the tools and templates to allow the effective collection, review and use of operational risk information
- Effectively working with Operational Risk Co-ordinators and stakeholders across the business to embed an operational risk culture throughout the organisation
- Support the Operational Risk Senior Managers in facing off to the business and developing the Operational Risk framework, products and services
- Taking ownership of delivery of key business reports
- Developing specific aspects of the operational risk framework as required
- Supporting the Operational Risk Senior Managers in the performance of their responsibilities
- Provide on-going communication to the business on ORM issues
- Monitoring the closure of operational risk actions
- Lead the collation, analysis and reporting of operational risk MI (including RCSAs, KRIs, internal and external loss events) including its on-going development and consolidation for Aggregated Risk Profiles and other reporting as necessary
- Identify key trends, issues and other insights requiring further investigation and follow up with the business
- Support the on-going development of operational risk practices

- Have 2-5 years experience in operational risk or related functions in financial services institutions
- Possess investment banking and/or capital markets knowledge and experience
- Have excellent communication and IT skills
- Speak and write business level Japanese and English
- Display commercial awareness and an understanding of key business priorities
- Display a proactive approach to operational risk management
- Relevant investment and/or operational risk professional qualifications are an advantage but not essential
