An experienced executive for the role of Market Development Manager Japan for the Finance & Risk Division.

Reporting to the Head of Market Development Japan, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving all aspects of the Finance and Risk business and strategy in Japan. As a key member of the Japan team you will also be involved in additional projects and work streams across the broader Japanese and Asian business.

The Market Development organization plays a key role in setting Financial & Risk division in Asia. Market Development is responsible for Marketing, Sales Strategy, Business Development, Driving Growth Opportunities and Maintaining existing business. Finance & Risk is a $6bn Division globally, and focusing on providing data, news, analytics, risk and workflow solutions to the Financial community across all asset classes and customer segments.

Responsibilities:
- Drive the Finance and Risk revenue performance for Japan, partnering with Sales to execute on strategies targeted to clients
- Understand the local market dynamics, and ensure delivery of the Finance & Risk business priorities and local go-to-market strategy
- Identify, develop and launch growth opportunities
- Lead large customer negotiations.
- Connect regularly with stakeholders from other parts of the business to convey local needs and execute global business plans

Key Attributes
・ 6 years+ commercial/management experience
・ Deep understanding of the trends and themes impacting the financial services industry with particular reference to cross asset trading
・ Understanding of the financial tools used by these finance professionals.
・ Experience of operating in a matrix organisation, including stakeholder engagement and influencing management
・ Proactive and extremely execution focussed
・ Hungry for career development and advancement
・ B2B sales experience/exposure a plus
・ Strong Japanese and English language skills
・ An established market network

The ideal candidate will have a combination of the above attributes, with a key requirement being experience in the financial services / market data industry.
