In recent years Company’s Private Markets Team has enjoyed significant growth and we are now pursuing a variety of new initiatives to build on this success and expand our position in the Venture Capital and Private Equity space. As part of our growth plan, we are seeking an exceptional sales professional to work in close partnership with the Private Markets Research, Product and Marketing teams globally as well as the wider Company’s sales force in Asia Pacific.
Reporting to the Head of Institutional Sales, Asia Pacific, the Regional Sales Director is responsible for managing the complete solutions sales cycle for Company’s Private Markets’ existing and new products. This position may be based in Hong Kong or Tokyo.
As the lead of the Private Markets team in APAC, the Sales Director will drive new business revenue through the combination of the following activities:
●Identify, qualify, develop and close new business as related to the Private Markets products to achieve individual new contract revenue and overall group revenue goals;
●Provide in-person and telephone presentation of the Company’s Private Markets solutions, alone or in collaboration with regional sales teams;
●Work closely with the Regional Sales Directors, ensuring their teams have strategic guidance and operates in a coordinated manner;
●Build strong relationships with opinion leaders to develop multiple customer relationships at all levels and build trust and confidence with users, key contacts, managers and senior-level executives to retain and expand business opportunities;
●Contribute to or lead the writing of any proposal or statement of work relating the products;
●Attend national and regional conferences as needed;
●Participate in, lead or coach the negotiation of terms and conditions, or price leading to closure of the contract;
●Maintain records of sales visits, appointments, contacts and sales campaigns in the global CRM to provide timely management information;
●Frequent travel overseas

必要スキル
●Fluency in English. Working knowledge of Japanese and/or other Asian language would be considered an advantage but not essential
●Good phone skills are a must for this position as the role includes cold calling activities
●Proven track-record in selling online information and/or related high value technology products and services tools to senior business decision makers.
●Experience and/or knowledge in Venture Capital and/or Private Equity would be considered a plus
●Ability to handle complex sales processes with multiple decision makers.
●Good communication and presentation skills.
●Ability to identify key customer issues to determine the appropriate solution to satisfy customers’’ needs.
●Ability to stay informed and up to date on industry trends, the competition and changing technology to better understand customer opportunities
●Ability to effectively handle multiple activities and reprioritise when necessary to ensure revenue goals is achieved.
●University Degree level education.
