You will be a valued member of the team providing production services support to the Corporate Middle office division using your technical and business knowledge in this challenging and fast moving space.

●Responsibilities
This role is within the Japan Production Services team providing support to the Corporate Middle office division for a wide range of applications designed to facilitate the successful execution of various important financial processes. Function as the regional SME (Subject Matter Expert) for the support of Japan Corporate Data Services applications used by the Japan/AEJ Middle Office department and maintain strong relationship with Stakeholders in Operations, Data Management and IT regionally and globally
The ideal candidate will have a forward thinking, can-do attitude with the ability to proactively deal with issues and a drive for continual improvement. Also, have a willingness to upskill and learn new technologies is a must.

●Mandatory
・3+ years of experience in a Production Support role
・Strong Communication skills in English
・Operating systems knowledge (Windows, Unix, Linux)
・Strong scripting skills (e.g. Shell Scripting, Python, Perl)
・Strong working knowledge of databases and writing SQL queries
・Naturally take ownership of issues and projects that you are assigned.
・Confident with adhering to procedure and show resilience when faced with demanding clients
・The ability to prioritise and be adaptable whilst working under pressure
・Strong team player and affable
・Have a problem solving mind set and demonstrate ownership of problem and incidents through to closure
・Have a conscientious attitude to all areas of IT Governance: Audit, Operational Risk etc. Ability to accurately collect and publish support KPI metrics as well as management documentation maintenance for the team
・Confident in managing and implementing code/config change/release into prod environments
・Be able to build strong, collaborative relationships with the business, application development teams, Infrastructure and other functional groups globally.

●Preferred
・Business level Japanese written and oral communication skills
・Knowledge and experience in IT automation
・Experience with Autosys or other batch management tools
・Full understanding of ITIL
・Working knowledge of Back Office platforms within a Financial Institution

※This role combines L1 and L2 functions and requires occasional weekend, holiday work and occasional on call night escalations
