The Wholesale Production Services organisation is responsible for providing IT support to the Business and Corporate departments at Holdings. The Principal Processing function within Production Services focuses on the support of the corporate departments including Finance, Operations and Compliance. In addition, the APAC Finance Support function within Principal Processing also provides support to Retail business.
This role is to lead the Japan Domestic Finance Support function within Principal Processing. The team is based in Tokyo and provides IT support for applications used by the Finance department in Japan including Retail business-while contributing to the global applications follow-the sun support model.
Function as the regional SME (Subject Matter Expert) for the support of Japan domestic Finance applications used by the Japan Finance department.
Maintain strong relationships with Stakeholders in Finance, Retail and IT regionally and globally.
Manage day-to-day IT issues to completion, escalating to developers or other IT teams as required.
Manage IT incidents to resolution as per the Production Services defined guidelines.
Drive automation and operational efficiencies proactively to enhance user service levels and to automate manual repetitive tasks.
Provide regular and accurate updates to stakeholders in Finance, Retail and IT during outages.
Manage regular WPS service report and update to stakeholders in Finance, Retail and IT.
Ensure all support documentation is maintained and updated regularly.
Maintain strong relationships with Finance PS teams in other regions and function as part of the global “Follow-The-Sun” support model.
Partake in the rollout of global support procedures within Wholesale Production Services.
Ensure Weekend batches and Releases are supported as and when required.
Implement and police the agreed IT and Wholesale Production Services IT policies, procedures and processes.
Work with IT Risk & Control teams when required on items such as firm Audits etc.
*This role combines L1 and L2 functions and requires occasional weekend, holiday work and occasional on call night escalations.
