Job/Group Overview：

Group Data Analytics Technology (GDA Tech) is part of the CTO group and is responsible for managing data and analytics technologies such as Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau, including RDBMs, Data security, and other proprietary tools.
Opportunities to work as a Data Technology member, contributing to projects across all Japan businesses within the company Group specifically focussed on the Data Security products and secure zone environment support. We are looking for a full-time, permanent data security engineer with hands-on experience in operating and supporting third-party database (including files) security platforms and other internal enterprise platforms.

・Hands-on experience with enterprise-level Data technology services/framework for a global financial services company

Responsibilities：

・Implement security practices and policies in the financial industry to safeguard confidential data
・Operate and support third-party database security platforms
・Use and internally promote database security tools and techniques (encryption, tokenization, masking)
・Manage established security systems and practices, coordinating with stakeholders for implementation
・Contribute code to internal platforms following software development lifecycle and using CI/CD tools
・Comply with Japanese PII data protection laws in the financial sector
・Collaborate with global teams across regions
・Take on ownership of data security and in-house file storage platforms

●Mandatory
・Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
・7+ years of experience as a Data engineer, / Cloud engineer, Infrastructure engineer, or an Application developer with backend services as core area of developer experience
・Hands-on experience in operating and supporting security systems and policies in the financial industry to secure the handling of confidential data
・Hands-on experience with database security tools and techniques, including encryption, tokenization, masking, etc.
・Deep understanding of data security in various RDBMs, including Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, and Cloud based Data warehouse platforms like Snowflake.
・Strong understanding of networking, and encryption techniques across all infrastructure components. Experience with Windows and Unix/Linux systems
・Operational experience managing established security systems and practices, coordinating with stakeholders for the end-to-end implementation process
・Familiarity with all phases of a well-established software development lifecycle using common programming languages and CI/CD tools.
・Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or SQL
・Business-level English (TOEIC 930+ or Native) and Japanese proficiency (JLPT N3+ or business Japanese or Native)
・Leadership mind-set, collaboration, task ownership, strong problem-solving skills, and attention to detail

・IT security certifications beneficial
・Experience collaborating with teams globally across regions
・Familiarity with dealing with Japanese PII data protection laws as applied to the financial industry
