Responsibilities:



Oversee the entire deal execution process from underwriting, due diligence, documentation, financing, negotiation and closing.

Manage the due diligence process including market research, financial analysis and asset valuation.

Preparation and presentation of proposals to the investment committee.

Propose and recommend exit strategies, and manage the exit process.

Work closely with the Operations team on the management of the existing portfolio. Support the development of strategic plans, annual budgets etc. for portfolio companies with the Operations team.

Deal sourcing and relationship building. Invest appropriate time and resources to establish and maintain new relationships.

Mentor and coach junior members of the team in analyst, associate and senior associate pool. Review and take ownership over junior members’ workflow.

Requirements:



7-15 years’ experience in the financial services / private equity / consulting industries, with a proven track record in transactional execution.

Extensive knowledge of the Japan market.

Must have had exposure to sophisticated deal execution processes at an international organisation.

No sector preference, but a strong subject matter expertise in specific sectors is important.

Strong written and spoken communication skills in Japanese. Business level English is preferable.
