This position is a role within our Finance team. The key responsibilities include fund accounting, financial reporting, treasury management, and entity administration across multiple fund vehicles (USD, JPY, and offshore structures) as well as the GP management company. The candidate will report to the COO.

The candidate will have to be able to speak/read/write English and Japanese and have a strong understanding of fund accounting, financial reporting, private equity fund structures, and general corporate finance/administration.

●Key Areas of Responsibilities
1. Accounting
Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping across all fund entities and the GP management company
Prepare and review quarterly NAV calculations and financial statements
Process invoice payments, maintain accounts payable/receivable, and ensure timely settlement
Oversee cash management including cash positioning, bank account administration, and FX management
Manage the GP entity’s budgeting, financial accounting, reporting, and vendor payment administration
Maintain and update fair market value (FMV) schedules and valuation reports for portfolio companies
Calculate management fees, carried interest waterfalls, and fund expense allocations

2. Tax
Prepare and coordinate K-1 tax schedules for U.S.-based investors
Assist in annual tax filing processes across multiple jurisdictions
Support employee-related tax filings and coordinate with external tax advisors

3. Fund Administration & Investor Relations Support
Manage capital call and distribution processes, including investor-level allocation and notice preparation
Prepare quarterly investor reports including performance metrics (IRR, TVPI, DPI, RVPI)
Coordinate with fund administrator on reconciliations and audit preparation
Respond to ad-hoc investor requests and due diligence inquiries relating to fund operations and financials

4. Regulatory Compliance & Other
Support compliance with regulatory requirements in the Cayman Islands, Hong Kong, and Japan
Liaise with legal counsel on fund compliance, regulatory filings, and side letter obligations
Coordinate with auditors and external service providers for annual audits across jurisdictions
Support the COO in ad-hoc financial analysis and operational improvement initiatives
