The core responsibility of the role is to engage with potential customers and their intermediaries to integrate sustainable finance solutions into their product offering. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the Japan business and where appropriate managing and expanding our relationships with leading global underwriters, lenders and corporates, turning qualified opportunities into sales.
Responsibilities Contributing to and supporting the implementing the SCS business development strategy in Japan with responsibility for Japan and expand the business with our increasing range of SCS products; Act as a trusted advisor to underwriters and lenders on how to integrate sustainable finance solutions into their product offering; Grow and maintain a robust sales pipeline both by self and support performance of the Japan SCS Team Respond and organize responses to requests for proposals; Stay on top of market developments, identify and share product innovation opportunities; If Requested Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking groups; Provide back-up for staff to assure client coverage across APAC; Build, maintain and extend professional networks and support senior managers within the SCS business in Japan; Further develop ESG and Sustainable Finance industry knowledge; and Manage staff appointed to you (if appropriate in the future).
Build up a new client portfolio under a delegated KPIs and budgets and service an assigned customer portfolio with strong aim to maximize revenue per relationship; Prepare Credit Propositions (“CP”), Credit Reviews (“CR), Credit Memos and similar documents for approval by relevant business and credit authorities; Maintain close, regular contact with clients through visitations (within or outside of Japan) or other means, and prepare Call Reports to keep relevant parties abreast of developments ; Work on any ad-hoc assignments when assigned.
The role is critical for our growth - main focus will be on relationship management with a large Japanese Asset Owner client. The expectation of the role is to further deepening current relationship with the client in order to strengthen the client experience and our service offering as well as our share of wallet.
●Revenue targets derived from product expansion and share of wallet expansion ●Manages, monitors, analyzes, & communicates service levels and financial metrics for assigned client. Provides root cause analysis and develops solutions with local service teams and makes recommendation to senior management, ultimately ensuring we are executing against account plan and maintain client satisfaction across all our services ●Establishing and maintaining extensive client contact including relationships with client senior management ●Acting as the escalation point to resolve business/service issues ●Managing all aspects of risks associated with serving the client relationship, i.e. operation risk situations, client risk concerns ●Negotiating service contracts and other related legal documents ●Understanding client strategy ●Reviewing customer surveys and arrange key improvement initiatives ●Coordinating cross business relationship communication ●Consulting with client and internally on new products and services, industry trends, etc. ●Continuous updating of product, service and skills knowledge through training ●Communicating major industry/company news ●Tracking operational costs ●Effectively administer all internal requirements
