The role offers the candidate the opportunity to be actively involved in various aspects of the real estate investment and advisory business. Working closely with a small team, the candidate will be responsible for conducting various financial analysis, modelling, research, presentation, and active engagement with third parties to secure investment opportunities.
The candidate’s role will include, but not limited to: 1. Investment: - Assist in identifying, evaluating, and underwriting new investment opportunities which includes coordinating with brokers, conducting market research with leasing agents, obtaining comparable sales data, and creating cash flow projections - Engage in the due diligence, deal structuring, negotiation with external parties, documentation, and closing process - Assist to prepare internal memo for the investment opportunity with analysis and evaluation to be presented to the Investment Committee.
2. Asset Management: - Assist in various functions of the asset management process including cash flow budget preparation, attending regular meetings with asset managers and property managers, and reviewing reports submitted by third parties - Conduct sell/hold analysis to identify optimal exit opportunities - Assist in the disposition process including setting exit strategies, identifying potential buyers, coordinating with asset managers and brokers, and negotiating key terms of the sale and execution.
3. Research/Reporting: - Conduct market research and provide market insights on potential acquisitions - Assist with the preparation of performance reports to investors
