仕事内容
The Position
The successful candidate will be part of a team of investment professionals within our Transactions team. The candidate will be involved in originating investment and divestment activities across Japan, and will report to the Head of Transactions, Japan.
Key Responsibilities
Manage & coordinate the entire transaction process including coordinating the respective department’s responsibilities towards closing a transaction (e.g. portfolio, asset management, research, legal and financing), including leading deal and structuring teams.
Building and maintaining relationships with brokers, developers, partners, investment bankers and advisors to source and review select acquisition opportunities.
Analysing (i.e. screening) investment opportunities from a qualitative and quantitative perspective and preparing alternative deals structures to satisfy investment objectives.
Drafting of investment proposals (with team’s support) for both internal investment committee and external client presentations. Responsible for presenting investment opportunities to internal investment committee and/or external clients.
Managing and overseeing the due diligence process. Responsible for negotiating major transaction terms with seller and/or joint venture partner(s) as well as providers of acquisition and debt financing, with assistance from internal/external legal counsel, and advisors.
Review underwriting, including JV spreadsheets, Argus models and underlying assumptions
Prepare the analysis to support various investment decisions relating to the acquisition, operation, financing and disposition of assets.
Manage the disposition of assets including agent selection, negotiation with buyers, preparation of sales contract with external legal support, communication with lenders and trust banks, etc..
Collaborate with other functions (legal, compliance, fund operations) within the Tokyo office or the wider APAC offices.
Where necessary, provide training and mentorship to the junior team members.
Demonstrates a strong moral compass and commitment to upholding a high level of professional and ethical standards.
