・訪問または電話による証跡確保および関係者ヒアリング等事実確認を単独または複数名で実施する
・確認された事実を基にレポートを作成する
・状況に応じて訪問、電話またはベンダーを通じて余罪調査を行う
・調査チームメンバーのみならず関係チームと協議・連携して調査方法検討・実施、顧客対応等事後措置を、チームリーダーまたはマネジャーの指示のもと行う

●POSITION SUMMARY:
Manage the day to day claims handling of own assigned Line of Business claims under direction of the General
Manager of Claim Division, undertake tasks and activities to support the Claims team, while continuously
developing technical skills and knowledge. Emphasis is on Marine claims but other Lines of Business shall be
assigned as needed.
●KEY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(a) Claims
Under direction of the General Manager of Claims Division:
1. Establish and maintain all claim files within Performance Standards.
2. Check validity of new claims against insurance policies.
3. Assist with liaising with Global Claims Management Team in Hannover regarding claims development.
4. Assist with notifying the Global Claims Team of claims outside local authority.
5. Ensure that all files contain relevant documentation.
6. Recommend and maintain appropriate claim reserves in line with the company Japan Branch reserving
philosophy.
7. Appoint service providers from approved Panel as required.
8. Enter appropriate details into the claims system.
9. Correspondence as required on claims matters.
10. Prepare and process claim payments in system.
11. Review own assigned outstanding claims in line with internal rules.
12. Notify reinsurers of details of claims lodged for which they are on risk.
13. Update reinsurers on progress of notified claims.
14. Raise and submit debit notes to reinsurers in respect of claims paid.
15. Follow up with reinsurers for debts not settled.
(b) General
1. Assist with other operational matters and improvement initiatives as directed by General Manager of
Claims Division.

assist in the day to day operations of Claims functions throughout the office.
●KEY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(a) Claims
1. Enter new claims into the claim system and set up reserves as directed by the relevant claims manager.
2. Enter and update appropriate details into the claims system.
3. Correspondence as required on claims matters.
4. Process payment request details for the whole claims team into the claims system, as directed by the relevant claims manager.
5. Run claims fiscal reports for the finance division as requested.
6. Process coinsurance and reinsurance recoveries
7. Handle simple claims (low value, low complexity claims and following coinsurance claims, etc)
(b) Report creation and analysis
1. Assist in producing spreadsheets and reports for the Head of Claims and Claims Managers, including regularly scheduled (annual, quarterly, monthly) reports and ad-hoc reports for both internal and external purposes, with analysis as required. Regular reports include:
a. Marine monthly Co-Insurance payment procedures
b. Monthly Movement Form for large loss for each Line of Business
c. Quarterly Forecast data for paid and outstanding reserve
2. Assist the Head of Claims with data analytics and operational measures/tasks.
3. Assist in creating operational manuals for creation of reports and other claims processes
(c) General
1. Assist the claims team with administration including drafting of documents, spreadsheets and power point
presentations.
2. Assist with other operational matters, improvement initiatives, and other duties as directed by the Head of Claims.
