<Role Summary>
Origination Manager is responsible for acquiring and originating new projects to increase
solar project pipeline.
<Responsibilities>
●Search and assess potential project lands nationwide in Japan that is viable for a solar
project development
●Assess project risks and profitability in collaboration with other functions
●Project assessment includes making applications and research on grid capacity and
connection fee, required permits, land rights status and other risk factors
●Assessment and structuring of co-development/JV opportunities and align process to
accelerate an efficient and effective pipeline growth
●Lead in presenting opportunities to cross functional teams and to the global investment
committee.
● Propose and take lead in new business opportunities and create a business plans for
future growth
●Negotiate with landowners, brokers, and other project stakeholders for acquiring lands
for new projects.
●Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess risks in development, engineering,
permitting, land acquisition, finance, government policies, construction, tax, legal and
others to minimize execution and operational risks and negotiate to incorporate them
into land contracts and project acquisition contracts.
●Management, negotiation, transaction of offsite corporate PPA opportunities
●This role requires business trips nationwide for land site visit, negotiation with
landowner, discussion with local authorities to confirming permits.

Knowledge & Skills
●Experience working in renewable energy sector is not a must but beneficial and experience in industries such as real estate, energy (non-renewable included), PPS, or financing is also welcome
●Experience in roles such as sales, business development, project development is a plus.
●Understanding of structured energy commodity transactions, power markets, and the key players in renewable energy acquisition and development is ideal
●Japanese language skills and industry knowledge to comprehend the regulation and policies of METI, utility companies and other government policies
●Process management, creation, improvement skills.
●Interpersonal, relationship management and collaboration skills.
●It is a plus to have experience in usage of cash flow models
