●The role
Revenue team in our manages all aspects of price and occupancy rate optimization by leveraging machine learning AI and data analytics: the team manages dynamic pricing mechanism which is one of key differentiations of us. The Data Scientist will work in our revenue yield services by identifying revenue accretive opportunities using data analytics, ML & AI algorithms and implementing the solutions while optimizing for multiple levers across functions

1. Identify inefficiencies in the system and design new or improved products to solve for losses resulting from these inefficiencies
2.Take end to end ownership of implementation of these services by liasoning with stakeholders across tech, product, marketing and ground operations. This will require you to co-ordinate with Product, Data Science, Engineering, Finance and the leadership. Problem solving intellect along with a sharp business acumen are a must.
3.Lead projects of data scientists to design models for proposed as well as existing projects
4.Requisition, justify and report the expenditure of marketing budget across projects under your control -- you will own ~60-70% of our monthly marketing expense

●The day-to-day activities
1.Keep regular track of your projects and delegate tasks to the right team members
2.Deep dive into data to identify opportunities for the business
3.Supervise optimizing models and algorithms deployed for all projects
4.Meet with product and tech POCs to quantify, negotiate and priorities queue for engineering development

●The must-haves
・Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
・3-10 years of experience in a role of similar capacity
・Past experience of R and/or Python, SQL wrt data analytics/science
・Experience leading a team or handling difficult clients in an e-commerce or Data Science/Analytics firm
・Ability to function under pressure situations
・Business level English (Japanese fluency a plus)
