Position Description

● To lead and manage a team responsible for the product management lifecycle including legal documentation as it relates to Japan-domiciled funds (including the manager, the team size is 5);

● Interface between local platform and affiliates of e Group to facilitate and deliver global investment management capability tothe company’s product and client base;

● Coordination and contribution of the local and/or global new product approval process;

● Problem shooting and resolution with other stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of new and existing funds / mandates.

*Please note this role is more internal with core tasks in product structures and legal documentation, not putting product ideas nor meeting and presenting to clients which is done by another team.



Position Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities

● Management of the Product Management Team of Japan including objective setting, performance, and feedback for compensation, etc.

● Management of the Product Management deliverables such as regulatory filings, review and revision of trust deeds / prospectus, drafting of product outline for internal and external usage.

● Communication and negotiation with affiliates and external service providers for new product launches and maintenance.

● Coordinate and manage the product rationalization process.

Experience/ Exposure

● Experience working in an international asset management company leading and managing a Product Management function.

● High knowledge and aptitude of the fiduciary responsibilities and culture. Product knowledge in equities, fixed income and derivatives.

● Knowledge of domestic and international fund structures Japanese, Luxembourg, Cayman, etc.

● Excellent communication capability and skills in both Japanese and English.

● Ability to plan and execute and escalate in a timely manner.

● Ability to work in a matrix reporting locally, regionally and globally

● Self-starter and capability to work under broad discretion, often under pressure and limited day-to-day supervision.



Education/ Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

Minimum 7 years working experience in asset management as a product manager with minimum of 2 years experience as a manager of the team.
