Key Accountabilities
●Architectural Design
・Design the solution for a project, including the conceptual/logical architecture s and technical capabilities to meet desired business outcomes
・Maintain application portfolio information
・Closely working with IT senior leadership to build multi-years Japan IT roadmap
・Closely working with teams in US / EU to keep Japan IT up to the latest QRG standard
・Closely working with local teams / key business clients in Japan to identify the best feasible solution backed up by concrete technical rationale
・Accountable / Responsible for best in class IT solution with the most cost effective manner based on QRG standard (Mentioned IT solution is not limited to ’change’ part, it also includes ’run’ part such as establishing product lifecycle along with mentioned roadmap)
・Documenting all necessary information (not limited to system architecture) for sharing / education and the most importantly, for sustainability. All documentation must be recorded / stored in very streamlined manner.

●Solution Assurance
・Read, understand and help individual project teams follow published architecture guardrails and reference architectures.
・Provide feedback on new guardrails and the evolution of existing guardrails

●Enterprise Architecture Practices
・Apply and provide feedback on EA practices, procedures, standards and guidelines.

●Technical Leadership Coaching
・Provide technical leadership, coaching, consulting and direction to initiatives and IT colleagues.
・Serve as advisor to agile team leadership

●Support, Escalation & Communications
・Provide third level operational support for production systems, when necessary. Leads practical improvements to support process where efficiency is lacking
・Work with engineering teams to drive resolution of escalated issues requiring the analysis of multiple solutions

●Continuous Learning & Business Outcomes
・Research and understand current and future technology trends in their preferred domain
・Work with product owners to understand desired business outcomes and how technical solutions contribute to those solutions

●Technical Expertise
・Demonstrates expert level knowledge and deep understanding in their area of specialization.
・Strong understanding of the architecture guardrails and reference architectures, and factors this into design decisions and recommendations.
・Excellence in documentation skill
・Familiarity with documentation tool such as Confluence / MEGA

・Assesses changes to business solutions, in terms of their costs and benefits to the business, and their broader impact on QRG.
・Utilizes thorough business knowledge to understand desired business outcomes and how changes to current technology supports and affects the business.
・Possesses solid understanding of the retail industry and industry trends
・Understands the impacts of regulations, laws and company policies, standards and procedures to their role

・Works on complex and unique projects and problems of varied scope, typically in a single domain.
・Work with engineering teams to drive resolution of escalated issues requiring the analysis of multiple solutions.

・Leverages internal networks and shares knowledge effectively with other team members across multiple teams within Technology organization.
・Works directly with product owners and is seen as a SME within IT; proactively manages client expectations and ensures prompt and complete client service.

●Project Role
・Partners with Engineers & Product Managers to design and deliver business capabilities & solutions. Assists in the analysis of vendor proposals and the evaluation of build versus buy considerations
・Leads the development of architecture runways for a project and provides day-to-day technical leadership/ guidance to the delivery team.

●Autonomy & Decision Making
・Functions independently and partners with others to set direction. Work in progress is reviewed on an exception basis.
・Collaborates with engineers to drive resolution of escalated issues.
・Fosters team collaboration, encouraging contributions from engineers

●Language
Fluent in Japanese and English communication

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
Experience: 8+ years of related experience
