●About the Role
The Client Relations Sales Team is looking for a Director or Associate Director to join their Tokyo based team supporting sales across Japan.
Candidates should be a proven financial services industry professional with a demonstrated track record of successfully leading sales teams that are positioned for growth. As Director you will use your deep subject matter expertise and network to sell our proven, highly rated ESG and Corporate Governance research services to new and existing business accounts. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate across all areas and to work with the Client Relations team globally to craft strategy for and grow revenues associated with our research offerings. Your clear understanding of our clients and their business drivers will be the key to sales success.
We are looking for a dynamic team player with strong relationship skills. The Director/Associate Director is responsible for collaborating internally with Client Advisors and other Client Relations team specialists to form C-level client relationships, increasing revenue and profit within an assigned territory in Japan.

●Job Responsibilities
・Lead the Japanese sales team within ESG Investor Solutions with overall accountability for developing and implementing a sales strategy that is able to quickly scale up and positions the team for success;
・Continuously encouraging members’ collaboration and fostering a strong team culture.
・Implement a business development strategy to grow and maintain robust sales pipeline;
・Create and manage business development & sales strategy for the Japanese market
・Develop and implement targeted sales campaign for Japan;
・Stay on top of market developments, identify and share product innovation opportunities;
・Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking groups;
・Build, maintain and extend professional networks.
・Collaborate with key stakeholders within Morningstar and Sustainalytics to meet the needs of both organizations
・Work with the Client Relations team to help strengthen our presence in various markets and ensure opportunities are managed efficiently and effectively including:
・Contributing to internal sales training and knowledge sharing
・Support proposals and sales presentations, as well as contribute to the development of marketing materials

必要スキル

・7+ years of relevant work experience, related to ESG or sustainability in the investment industry or within an international corporate
・Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (business, economics, finance, environment and/or social sciences desired)
・Experience collaborating with sales teams and contributing to business development efforts, while being a strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to take initiatives, think proactively/creatively
・Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills used to understand and present complex products to various stakeholders
・Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
・Japanese and English fluency required
・Genuine team player, who operates with a high level of integrity and enjoys working in a collaborative environment
