About the Role
We are seeking an investment professional to work and execute our LBO Mezzanine finance and other credit investment business in Japan. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role covering the full deal lifecycle, from origination through underwriting to closing.

Key Responsibilities

Work on underwriting and credit analysis for LBO mezzanine and other credit investment opportunities
Build and maintain financial models to assess deal structures, returns, and downside scenarios
Prepare investment memoranda for internal investment committee review
Structure mezzanine financing terms (subordinated debt, preferred equity, warrants, etc.) tailored to each transaction
Draft, review, and negotiate legal documentation (loan agreements, intercreditor agreements, etc.) in coordination with legal counsel
Manage end-to-end deal execution, including coordination with sponsors, banks, lawyers, and other stakeholders
Support portfolio monitoring and ongoing relationship management with borrowers/sponsors as needed

Requirements

5 10 years of relevant experience in leveraged finance, mezzanine debt, private credit, or related investment banking/PE roles
Strong hands-on experience in underwriting, financial modelling, and deal structuring
Business-level English proficiency required (both written and spoken)
Holder of a Money Lending Business license (貸金業務取扱主任者) preferred
Self-starter with strong initiative; able to work independently and drive deals forward proactively
Strong communication and negotiation skills, comfortable working with cross-functional teams and external counterparties
