仕事内容
Working as a key member of the Japan Operations change team, requires identification, definition and realisation of front-to-back business changes through working with Operations teams, the Business and Technology.
The Japan Change Team is responsible for identifying and leading projects that help build capacity & flexibility in our core businesses to deliver on sensitive client SLAs, whilst maintaining focus on reducing our cost base. Requires reduced dependency on location specific applications & development of global strategic architecture.
Specifically this requires:
- a major review of Japan’s ISTAR dependency during 2010 and detailed analysis to support the development of an in house solution that meets the specific needs of the bank.
- Review of middle office architecture to support rapid new product launch, trade execution/ capture/ confirmation & life cycle management in the Japan Equities & FICC SPGs (middle offices).
The project types include, but are not limited to:
Operations process re-engineering
New applications definition & rollout
Deep dive analysis of cross product interface to ISTAR vendor systems
Deep dive analysis of cross product middle office infrastructure
Co-ordination of major infrastructure decommissioning & replacement
Booking model review & rework
Key Responsibilities:
Providing subject matter expertise in Middle office & Operations re-engineering, processing and subsequent offloading of legacy apps.
Identify & Analyze business problems, produce business cases, and propose solutions
Process Modelling and requirements gathering. Organised approach to deep dive analysis of multiple product/system interfaces and co-ordination of stakeholder participation and requirements planning.
Capture of quality metrics and benefit targets / opportunities. Cost benefit analysis of decommission and replacement opportunities.
Prioritisation of requirements with the business and IT. Phased implementation approach.
Co-ordination of test planning & execution activities including test case and test script development.
Identification, tracking and management of issues
Management of Stakeholders in the Operations Line, the Business and IT
Work closely with IT teams to deliver integrated quality solutions where IT is the enabler

必要スキル
Japanese & English language skills
University graduate or Higher, post graduate qualification in business discipline desirable
Proven working knowledge of Financial Services Operations and/or related projects. Experience in Investment Banking Equities/FI Middle Office & Operations is key.
Strong, demonstrable subject matter knowledge & experience of the following are valuable: 1) Japan domestic settlement, confirmation & reporting infrastructure. Experience of working with NRI & Japanese domestic market vendors (ISTAR replacement with in house architecture); 2) Front to back Trade Life Cycle in general-delivering Middle Office Operations projects, tactical & strategic process re-engineering and knowledge of related MO IT systems.
Experience of co-ordinating change in a large, matrix-type organisation with many different business lines and various stakeholder groups.
Experience with project management principles - initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing.
Articulate and good inter-personal skills
Highly independent, self starter and team player
Analytical with strong problem solving ability
Organized and well structured
Experience and understanding of Six Sigma methodologies (DMADV, DMAIC etc.) definitely an advantage
Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, in particular, MS Word, MS Excel (Macros, formulas), MS Powerpoint, MS Access (not mandatory but preferred)
Experience with automated requirement gathering and testing tools
