Work across asset classes and sectors, providing structured finance solutions to a variety of situations including performing and sub-performing corporate credit, private equity, real estate, and renewables, in both the private and public markets, and in each case in a myriad of forms and to a wide variety of clients

●Role Responsibilities and Tasks :
-Network, source, arrange, and convert on leveraged lending and structured finance transactions as a key member of the deal team;
-Be fully abreast of market themes, trends, and upcoming deal opportunities being brought to market;
-Directly face Sponsors to thoroughly understand their financing needs, and to then match those needs with product offerings;
-Identify gaps in the market, and assist with developing new products as client and market needs arise;
-Work proactively with internal stakeholders including analysts, credit approvers, and the deal execution team
-Engage in client negotiations to originate and execute transactions; and
-Understand the technical aspects of the deal structuring and execution workstreams, including financial, tax, and legal aspects, in order to add value to the client relationship and the deal execution process

・Deep experience in covering Sponsors and other key market participants;
・Strong track record of successful leveraged loan and structured finance sourcing and origination;
・Ability to drive the client conversation beyond coverage, and to efficiently and repeatedly convert on the identified origination opportunities;
・Ability to navigate the due diligence and financial analysis of a complicated, highly structured transaction;
・Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
・Native Japanese and business-level English preferred;
・Team player with a strong motivation to contribute; and
・Experience working in a similar role in a Japan-based financial institution or fund
