Main Functions
KYC due diligence and Client On-Boarding
Account Opening and Client Account Data Maintenance
Reference Data Project (Counterparty / Instrument / Book) and Maintenance

Responsibilities
Manage day to day AML/KYC due diligence process and ensure it is conducted on our clients in accordance with local & group Compliance requirements.
Approve the account opening once KYC due diligence has been completed and open accounts in relevant internal systems
Co-ordinate documentation requirements across internal stakeholders (Compliance, Credit, Legal & Operations) to facilitate the Client On-Boarding process
Lead Reference Data Project to drive Japan to the future state for Data Maintenance in all Counterparty, Instrument and Book data
Establish the workflow for above data set up as well as maintenance model

Requirements
Solid VP with experiences in this industry
Strong background knowledge in KYC and/or Client On-Boarding, specifically Japanese regulatory requirements
Good Project Management experience is a plus as he/she needs to run Reference Data project
Data Management experience in either Instrument / Counterparty or Book is preferable
Solid technical skills (Microsoft Office Excel, Powerpoint, Word) exposure to KYC investigative tools (Lexis Nexis, Worldcheck, Factiva) is desirable
People Management skill and People Development skill required
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a high pressure environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both Japanese and English
Ability to directly address conflicts and escalate issues where appropriate
