Web Services is seeking a driven, talented, and experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to develop and scale our business with customers in Japanese market. This business is the primary infrastructure for everything from dev/test, web applications to AI/ML to HPC workloads. The BDM will be responsible for defining, building and deploying effective and targeted programs to accelerate broad based sales and business development activities for compute workloads on Web Services. The BDM will facilitate the enablement of business development, sales and solution architecture with specific customer centric value propositions and will directly interface with product management and development teams regarding customer and partner requirements for various computing workloads. The BDM will work closely with business development, sales, solution architect, marketing and partner teams to position for customers and partners, and provide guidance on the value proposition and benefit those customers and partners can achieve with our services, platforms, frameworks and infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will possess both a business background that enables them to drive an engagement and interact at the CxO/VP level, as well as a technical background that enables them to easily interact with software developers and architects. The ideal candidate should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally to build consensus. A keen sense of ownership, drive, and bias for action is a must.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Defines, builds and deploys sales and business development campaigns around the offerings; Engages, supports and scales business development and sales teams across Web Services to be capable of delivering the value proposition to customers and partners in Japan; Exhibits proactive ability and expertise in setting customer discussions via Web Services sales and partner teams; Exhibits cloud managed services, CPU/GPU or ML/DL expertise and experienced handling and scaling sales campaigns with enterprises and enterprise partners; Engages in senior level customer meetings to discuss customer’s business issues and explores how the Web Services computing platform can help address and resolve these issues; Serves as an evangelist for within Web Services, and externally; Develops a standard market intelligence framework and dynamic analytic model to be utilized by the Web Services Sales, Business Development and marketing teams; Establish ways to measure and track metrics related to adoption, and to make improvements to the approach based on those measurements; Prepare and give business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and metrics.
・Execute and drive team program/campaign delivery, execution, and adoption across multiple organizations and teams ・Collaborate with stakeholders in multiple business and technical teams to define and deliver on agreed upon milestones. Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs ・Manage communication and feedback with internal and external key stakeholders, collect events/program feedback and business requirements, and also deliver progress in time ・Communicate project issues and status in a concise, accurate, and professional manner ・Build and maintain reporting for areas of responsibility ・Align and leverage internal teams and resources to implement strategic partnerships ・Own the business cadence and governance (weekly/monthly/quarterly business reviews) for area of responsibility ・Coordinate annual planning and other adhoc planning cycles ・Own goals/performance reporting and data integrity (Salesforce, other Tools as needed)
