Objectives
-The Equity Sales/ Project Finance manager will be responsible for managing the sale of Renewable Energy projects (PV) to investors. This position will report to the CEO of our company and be based in Tokyo.
The person will have a functional reporting line to the regional CFO.

Primary Responsibilities
-Analyse PV projects to identify financial risks, economic viability, etc.
-Deal origination: Identify potential equity investors through direct prospecting and networking efforts
-Prepare financial models to calculate the expected project returns, profitability, etc.
-Review cash flow model assumptions for reasonability.
-Build and maintain excellent relationships with investors and debt providers, including banks.
-Initiate and assist equity investors and banks with investment structures.
-Prepare information memoranda for presentation to potential project funders/ investors.
-Manage the due diligence process.
-Manage all aspects of the deal execution process, including preparation of term sheets, negotiation and finalization of all project and financing agreements.
-Carry out associated market and sector research.

Qualifications, Experience and Personal Attributes
-Relevant Accounting / Finance degree qualification
-5 years’ experience ideally within the Infrastructure/ Renewable Energy sectors, gained at a bank, project sponsor or advisory firm
-Demonstrable track record of originating, structuring and closing complex projects/ medium to large sized financing transactions in bank financing or equity investment, or both.
-Familiar with types of agreements/contracts typically used in project finance
-Excellent financial modelling skills
-Ideally experienced in equity raise in deal or fund raising in previous careers
-Experience in dealing with banks relating to Project Finance transactions
-Fluent in Japanese and English
-Ability to work in a team, self-organised and disciplined
-High level of professionalism and attention to detail
