<PURPOSE OF THE JOB>
● “Value Protection & Value Creation”
●This position will be accountable for the financial integrity, preparation, reporting, and presentation of financial information as well as the maintenance of robust controls
environment for Japan, working closely with Financial Controller, Japan & APAC.
●They will ensure that Japan complies with Regional and Global Finance policy and will engage with internal and external auditors and tax specialists.
●This position is accountable for the month end close process, ensuring that all internal financial controls & processes are adhered to and are operating effectively and efficiently.
●This position is also accountable for the monthly and quarterly reporting and working closely with the Japan business and Financial Controller, Japan & APAC to bring together the Annual Operating Plan, including key financial analysis.
<PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES>
●Provide support to Japan Finance Teams to ensure Financial Policy and timelines are maintained and regulatory and statutory reports are delivered to quality standards.
●Provide input for the design and structure of Financial Accounting operations to ensure Japan achieves a robust and effective control and operating environment.
●Accountable for Japan month-end, quarter end and year-end close processes for
Controllership reporting.
●Manage and comply with Japan reporting requirements and filings.
●Oversee the internal and external audit processes, ensuring a robust internal control
environment is documented and executed within their countries.
●Responsible for maintaining financial data integrity through the control of financial records, Chart of Accounts and data within our systems.
●Evaluate operating procedures in terms of control, efficiently and quality of output. Develop policies, procedures and process improvements.

●Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior internal and external stakeholders to achieve business outcomes.
●Exceptional communication (written and oral) and presentation skills with ability to
communicate effectively with all levels of employees including senior management.
●Strong critical thinking and analytical skills as well as creative thinking for reevaluation and improvement of processes.
●Able to get things accomplished

●Financial Control accurate financial information, “operating rhythm across Japan for our “control” environment (Policy, Process, Procedures documented and clarity re responsibility and accountability.
●FP&A support Japan on financial planning and analysis requirements.
●Communication effectiveness of listening to others, expressing ideas, influencing finance to share/collaborate, providing timely, relevant and accurate information.
●Collaboration Process Optimisation sharing of best practice controls and processes (eg effective and efficient close process).
●Interpersonal skills feedback from peers and stakeholders.
●Problem solving identify process areas that need to be fixed (root cause).
●Teamwork shared vision and outcome, respecting local challenges and working with teams to find best solution.
