Associate Director Finance Japan, report to Head of Finance Asia based in Hong Kong.
＜Purpose＞
●This role is to run the day to day operations on the Japan FInane team. This covers all finanical deliverables for the Tokyo Branch as well as the NAB Japan Securities.
●This role reports through to the Head of FInance Asia and itis essential there are cliear lines of communications reagarding all workings of the team in Tokyo through to Hong Kong.
●This role is ultimately responsible for regulatory report lodgement, management account information and tax lodgements for the Tokyo Branch and NAB Japan Securities.
＜Key Decisions＞
●Implementation/modification of controls and procedures.
●Modifications to systems/processes to cater for changes to external reporting.
●Aurhorisation of accounting entries, regulatory reports, financial reporting submissions and local tax payments.
●Direct negotiation with auditors in relation to audit approach, timing and resolution of accounting issues.
＜Key Acountabilities＞
●Approve expenses within budget limits and / or consistant with delegated authority / policies.
●Implementation / modification of controls and procedures.
●Modifications to systems / processes to cater for changes to external reporting.
●Authorisation of accounting entries, regulatory reports, financial reporting submissions and local tax payments.
●Direct negotiation with auditors in relation to audit approach, timing and resolution of accounting issues.

●Be prime point of contact for all matters related to Japan Finance including regulators, auditors and local tax authorities.
●Have a deep technical understanding of Banking and Securities regulatory responsibilities in Japan.
●Develop and implement cost-effective processes through continuous improvement.
This includes exploiting opportunities of increased scale, managing expenses in a cost effective manner, developing partnerships with suppliers, consideration of outsourcing opportunities as appropriate, contiunal focus on timely delivery and support for project activity.
Business level English Communication.
＜Experience＞
●Knowledge and experience in banking / security company financaial accounting
●Knowledge and experience in Japanese accounting practices and standards (including JGAAP)
●Knowledge and experience of Japanese statutory reporting requirements
●Knowledge and experience for Japan Corporate tax fillings
＜Qualificatoin Requirements＞
●1st class Sales Representative Exam by JSDA
●Accounting qualifications preferred
