This role is working in our Web Operations team within Global Infrastructure Services, as part of a global team supporting the global organisation. The team consists of 8 persons with members in all 3 regions (APAC/Europe/Americas).
There is a complimentary Engineering team and the successful candidate will be expected to work very closely with this team to ensure a successful transition of run the bank (RTB) activities and on boarding of any new platforms and technologies.

Responsibilities:
・The team’s primary focus is providing global operational support for the infrastructure technologies delivered from within the Web group which include:
・Web Server infrastructure (external & internal) - Apache, TomEE, IIS
・MFT (Managed File Transfer) and FTP infrastructure (Axway/ProFTP)
・Authentication/authorisation technologies and Certificate management
・Web search - ELK stack
・Maintain strong relationships with customers who will include developers and non-technical end users.
・Ensure uniform and cohesive monitoring is applied across the relevant infrastructures.
・Work with global counter parts for issue resolution and escalation.
・Problem ownership from reporting to resolution or escalation to another team.
・Follow the firm’s best practices including managing changes to supported systems, and incident reporting.
・Respond to and resolve support issues in order to improve the services provided by the team and provide consultancy to development teams.
・Contribute towards ongoing automation and continuous improvement of the existing services.
・Drectly interact with the Engineering team to escalate recurring problems and feed back requirements that may require newly engineered solutions.
・Take part in handover sessions to ensure succesful transition into the production domain as new platforms are built

＜Mandatory＞
・Strong scripting skills (preferrably Python, Unix shell, Perl) to provide infrastructure automation.
・Extensive use and Administration level knowledge of Linux (preferably RedHat/CentOS).
・Experience of support of Web technologies (Apache, Nginx, IIS, application servers, proxies, content management systems etc.).
・Knowledge of some Configuration Management and Devops toolchains (e.g. Ansible, Chef or Puppet, Jenkins, Git).
・Knowledge of federated identify management systems and SSO.
・Experience with monitoring systems and log management/reporting tools (e.g. Prometheus, Loki, Grafana, Splunk, ELK).
・TCP/IP networks and common internet protocols - such as HTTP/S and S/FTP.
・A high standard of investigation, problem solving ability and a technical background.
・Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of all critical Production Support processes.
・Good communication skills and a high standard of written documentation.
・Demonstrate an ability to work well as part of a global team, and on their own when required.
・Self-motivation, enthusiasm and proven rapid learning capability.
・Must have flexible approach to work and working hours.
・Ability to work with minimal supervision and on multiple tasks simultaneously.
・Excellent time management and prioritisation of work tasks.
・Ability to talk at the correct technical level depending on the audience.
・Utilisation of own initiative to resolve issues.
・Fluency in English, with good communication skills.

＜Preferred＞
・Knowledge of Managed File Transfer infrastructure (ideally Axway).
・Windows administration fundamentals.
・Knowledge of software and hardware load balancers.
・Knowledge of Tomcat/TomEE application servers.
・Java and JEE development environments.
・Use of service management tools e.g. ServiceNow etc.
・Understanding of the configuration and customisation of web browsers.
・Knowledge of Capital markets area and banking systems.
・Any background working with or supporting large multi-tennant web farms.
・Fluency in Japanese
