Toolchain SRE team within the GIS SDLC SRE group is responsible for operations, implementation, and integration of a SDLC Tools globally used by all application development teams. SDLC toolchain encompasses tools like GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus RM, Jira, Confluence, etc.

●Responsibilities:
・Administer and support production environments for SDLC Toolchain stack
・Engage closely with peers in other regions to provide operational support - user requests / production incidents / changes / releases etc.
・Mentor fellow support staff on technical issues, standards and procedures
・Identify and flag operational issues / risks and involve the engineering teams to address them
・Automate solutions for our supported SDLC tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, Ansible etc.)
・Manage components of applications and participate in hands-on automation projects using Java, Python and/or shell scripting
・Evangelise and promote strategic tools supported by Toolchain SRE team
・Help standardize deployment and release process across organization
・Deliver high quality change within agreed timelines

●Mandatory
・Candidate should have at least 5-6 years of hands on technology experience and should be comfortable working within small teams with little support
・Willing to learn new tools and technology and remain hands-on will be key for the success of the role holder
・Ability to take initiative and end-to-end ownership, self- motivated individual, quality and improvement focused
・Team player, ability to work on a local, regional and global basis and as part of joint cross-location initiatives
・Fluency in Japanese and English language with written & verbal communication skills are essential
・Hands-on experience on SDLC tools such as Jenkins, Podman, Docker, Ansible, GitLab, and ServiceNow
・Understanding of DevOps tools and processes - Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment
・Strong problem solving and analytical skills

●Preferred
・Exposure to writing/enhancing automations using REST APIs, XML, JSON APIs and JS build tools
・Database knowledge of any one RDBMS database
